In my own experience, Lucky Model are pretty good to deal with. There are some quirks, like payment up front at the time the order is placed rather than when it's shipped, which some people don't like.

Some stock lines like Voyager don't carry any additional shipping costs.

Also, be aware of the "Available" vs "In Stock" status. "Available" means that the item can be ordered but they don't actually have stock on hand. If you order an item listed as "available", they will order it from the supplier, to be restocked when they receive their next shipment from said supplier. It doesn't mean they have the item ready to ship. This could mean that you might order an item and it may take several weeks before they receive and subsequently ship it. In the case where you might order items which are both "in stock" and "available", you have the option to split the shipment and have them ship the items they have in stock and wait for outstanding items (they won't charge additional shipping).

ikar01

Thanks.  The Voyager set looks good but I  hate to think what it would cost.  I tried finding a price for their products, any of them but came up empty.

Found a couple on eBay that would run about $25 plus shipping, not a whole lot for what you get in the set. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xvoyager+ontos.TRS0&_nkw=voyager+ontos&_sacat=0

Lucky Model for under $20 seems to be the best deal: http://www.luckymodel.com/scale.aspx?item_no=PE%2035370

Verlinden did an interior for the Academy Ontos (#2623). Eduard does a photo etched set (#36138). There are a few other detail sets out there as well.

As far as the above mentioned Lion Marc barrels (LM10038), there are a couple other barrel sets available.

Voyager has the most extensive set, you won't need anything else. Barrels & PE.

Passion Models does barrels.

Eventually I want to build my Ontos tank but I have heard that there were metal parrels made for it.  Are they still available and are there any other extras out there?
