The weakest link

I think you're about right with 110 links, 109 would be too tight. Some photos I have show even more track sag than what you have, but if you compare photos available online, I think you are OK with what you have. You might want to add two bolts to either side of the armored shield on the barrel, they are apparently missing from the kit. You also seem to have a tight link on the right side above the second wheel, causing the tracks to bow slightly upward, might want to tweak that one. 

I'm assuming this is the re-tooled Italeri kit? I'm a bit puzzled why they removed the hull MG to back-date the vehicle to a early Ferdie, but left the later, rebuilt verison's cupola on the roof. 

Fruil always gives you spare links, so never go with whats in the box.

That is great information Ixion, thank you so much, but it was hard to fit in the 110 so I can imagine that doing one less link could put to much stress on the plastic... just a thought... I will try and let you in with some pictures

Out of curiosity I looked up the number of links on the actual vehicle, which comes out to 109 per side, just in case you wanted to know. But what fits and looks correct is more important than the actual number, like anyone is going to count them anyway.

I would split the 240 in half, 120 per side

I just finished the correction, it takes 110 links per side, I am wrting this just in case that someone do a search.

Hello and welcome, I would split the 240 in half, 120 per side. Build up the road wheels then assemble the tracks next to the model. Place the model on the tracks to give you a length. Do the same for the flat run across the top then fill in the blanks around the drive and idler sprockets. This vehicle has no return rollers up on the chassy so those tracks are going to sag alittle. Find a reference picture or the box art for an idea of how much sag is in them. Happy modelling
