I do use friul tracks on my armour builds on a regular basis.
I use them especially if the tracks are the rubber band type or link and length style.
A recent build, Amusing hobby's Jagdpanther II was a great and gun build but the tracks were very fiddly to put together, but would havd fully worked. I went instead with Friul's Panther II tracks and they just look great.
The tracks were addembled with wire supplied in the box (cut to length, tiny dab of superglue) and then, without any primer, Ak's Extreme Metal steel was applied with a 0.4mm nozzle, left overnight to dry and cure then the tracks fitted to the model.
The Friul tracks took a full day to put together (both sides) which is much quicker than the kit tracks would have been. I am not decrying the kit tracks, but they were just that little too much for me!!!!!
My next build will be another amusing hobby kit - not sure which one yet and I will try Xtreme metal's gunmetal on the tracks to darken them a little more.
I will admit that Friuls tracks aren't cheap, but they are good and are easy to deal with.
Most of my armour have a metal barrel and tracks as AM items. the rest is an OOB build.
