Fuel fill location/Panzer III
Posted by harp.ta on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 11:09 PM

Anyone know where the fuel was filled on a Panzer III Ausf.L?  I like to give a little extra weathering around the gas cap but can't find the dang thing.  On most tanks they stick out like a sore thumb but I can't seem to locate it on this subject.  I tried a Google search but most of the results related to a toilet (tank)...

Any help is appreciated.. thanks!

Under one of the engine deck hatches.

Doesn't show it clearly, but this may help with a general location: http://www.worldwarphotos.info/gallery/germany/tanks-2-3/panzer-3-tank/panzer-iii-number-112/
