spray painted for the first time

tho ,it's from a can. got started on my M4A3E2, and it's a helluva lot quicker than brush painting, which i've always done. the larger parts did get a coupla coats of tamiya OD, which i wasn't happy with. maybe they changed the forumla, or something, but i could still see the plastic showing thru. anyway, testors OD is gonna look much better

Never had much success with a spraycan. Not much control.

I like my airbrush. You can mix the paint to the shade you like. Spray cans you do not get that option.

I spray most of my US armor with the old spray can, it works fine for me. I like to have the same color in bottle form too, so that I can touch up and I have some for tinting to drybrush with.
Trevor Where am I going and why am I in this handbasket?

IMHO, airbrush normally works better than spray can, because airbrush gives a finer spray area so than you can spray on to harder to reach area. When I use can spray, I usually spray before assembly, that is while the parts are still on the sprues. Then after assembly, apply touch up paint on to the cut off and sanded area.
