Wow!!! I feel guilty about the dozen or so I bought this year. Though it's getting to the point I might have to hire someone to build them for me too as slow as I go! 

Thanks so much for your kind comments, Gamera! I've been busy updating my purchase records and finding space to store those kits. I think it's a good idea to hire someone to build for you. Models are to be built and shown, not kept in their boxes.!

I joke about hiring someone to build them but I do like building them myself, it's just I'm so lazy and distracted that I'm just so sloooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww......

Wow, quite a collection, and some vintage stuff there, too.  It looks like your friend has a nice collection of rifles, too. 

We recently had some flooding, causing us to clear out several rooms in our house, one of which was the 'hobby room'.  Afterward, we picked up a roll-around wire rack to put most of the kits on.  IIRC, I have just about what your friend gave you.  I was kind of getting embarassed at the size of our stash, but not anymore.  Thanks MM!!

Thanks so much for your kind comments, Gene. There are many kits that my friend bought 30+ years ago. Those rifles had to be BB guns, otherwise they'll be illegal here. He also has 94 legal guns, short and long.

Sorry about the flooding that you and many in the US encountered in many states. I hope it's not too damaging. BTW, what does "IIRC" stand for?. You know, having more kits mean you have more choices to build, and this month I've built 6 kits already, though small and easy ones. 

IIRC = If I Remember Correctly.  Nice friend to donate that many kits to you.  Will Keep you busy and out of funds for awhile.

Was at Udorn in '73-74, beautiful area of your country.  Always wanted to come back to see more, but never able to.

Thanks for the meaning of IIRC, I haven't seen it before. My friend is real nice, these 180 kits are on top of 200 kits he gave to me in July. They'll keep my artists and myself busy for a few years.

'73-74 was near the end of the Vietnam war. In Udorn you probably worked for the US Air Force, right? Save up your money and buy low-cost airfare if you want to visit again.

Yes, those were my USAF days, worked in electronics systems on the F4D's, E's, and RF4C's.

Unfortunately, my traveling days are long past due to health issues.  But the memories remain.

I see. My 1st model was F-4 1:72 from Frog and my 2nd one was F-4E 1:72 from Hasegawa. I think the Hasegawa kit came in bright chromium color, painting was not needed. Unfortunately I lost the only chromium kit I ever had.

6 years after retirement I have no health issues but I prefer to stay home most of the time. At home I have everything that I need. So there's no need to go anywhere, except to banks for financial transactions.
