Thanks for the advice Richs26. The model I have is of an M1134 ATGM (Anti-Tank Guided Missle).
I don't know if many of these were deployed to the Gulf area but it was one I could get my hands on. I may have to do some modifications. What do you think?
Thanks,
Doc Hu

Dwayne or Dman or just D. All comments are welcome on my builds.
As Stik says, they are green. Are you doing a specific vehicle, or a generic one? I am very familiar with them as I wash them at Fort Wainwright, AK. Lugnuts and wheel nuts can be natural metal after having been replaced. Headlights can be broken and towbars can be missing. Tools can be green, or the same as painted store bought tools. The paint can be chipped letting the white ceramic armor show through.
WIP: Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 73rd BS B-26, 40-1408, torpedo bomber attempt on Ryujo
Monogram 1/72 B-26 (Snaptite) as 22nd BG B-26, 7-Mile Drome, New Guinea
Minicraft 1/72 B-24D as LB-30, AL-613, "Tough Boy", 28th Composite Group
I’d say paint it in a base color of NATO/CARC Green, do some basic washes and dry brushing to highlight raised details and recesses, then dust the snot out of it afterwards. Use paints, pigments, or whatever other mediums you might prefer for the dust coat.

I have a Trumpeter M1126 Stryker. I would like to build it for a friend that served 2 tours in Iraq and one in Afganistan. Most of the photos I've seen on the net appear to be washed out or just plain poor photgraphy. I'd like some recommenations on the most realistic finish for the time period in question as I want this to be something he can appreciate. BTW this is my first post in the armor forum as I normally do "Heavy Metal" in the Ships Forum, nothing less than 5,000 tons.
Thanks in advance,
