1/35 Canadian T17E1Staghound MK1 with 60 pounds rockiets

Hello,

It's a Staghound late production with 60 pounds rockiets. Made by Bronko Company.

Quite detailed model. Especially the suspension part. There where some photoetched parts and metal barrel with the kit. The exhaust /2 mufflers where made from scratch using copper thin foil. Painted with Tamiya, Vallejo paint. Machine gun barrels come from RB Model. The base is made from two layers of cork glued together. Rail tracks are from RPM company. Mud is made from pigments mixed with Future floor finish and painted with Tamiya Clear enamel.

Nice job, I like the headlights; did they come with clear lenses or did you replace them? I've got the Tamiya boxing of the Italeri kit and the 1/48th scale anti-aircraft version of the Bronco kit. Any troubles building the kit?

Hi Rob,

The Bronko kit is made quite good. I think it was relesed  7-8 years ego? There are missing some details like weld lines on the engine back wall etc. with I added. The plastic turret is to smooth for me. It was treated with lacquer thinner to give some roughness. The suspension is very well detailed...but is hidden and can't show her beauty. The headlights comes from ELF company. I replaced the original. The ELF ones are thinner more transparent and they come with reflectors. The set I have is made to fit Russian vehicles. I was able to fit one of them in to the lamp. didn't even used a glue to hold in place Fit tight.

Cheers,

I find the Future floor finish is great to mix with pigments. Dry fast but gives the wet look.

Thanks! Never thought of that but it makes perfect sense.
