Dragon 1/35 Tiger 1 Late #6406

Hello everyone,

I bought this kit about 8 years ago. At the time, I thought you had to add every aftermarket piece, so I bought Atak zimmerit, Voyager photo-etch, a resin interior, and Fruil tracks. I was planning on making this OOB, but since I paid for all the other stuff, I thought I would use it. As a result, it was a long painfull process. It took about a year with starts and stops, and a few aircraft in between. There's lots of pics-sorry!

Wow! that is alot of detail I can see why it took you awhile to complete it. Love all the interior detail especailly the engine compartment. Time well spent...

Working on the same kit and it's dragging. I've lost interest. Glad to see you'ver made it to the the finish line. Your hard work paid off. It looks great. Lots of detail on that beast.

I went through the stage of buying every piece of AM i could find for a kit, i know better now. But somtimes its worth it, as with this one. Stunning build, the time and effort has really paid off.

Which brand is the interior, i am guessing CMK.

Thanks for the supportive comments!

The resin interior was by Verlinden. I bought the tank at a model show in London(Canada), and an armour aftermarket booth had everything there- I might not have picked most of it up if it wasn't as convenient as it was.

so much AM parts if I spent that much (and i'm guilty of it) on all that I would of done the hull as a cut-a-way.

I was planning on that, but the crappy resin 88 mm shells ended that plan. The only good side of all of them is the one that is being seen now. I didn’t want to buy anymore parts, so I buttoned it up. I was going to install some small lights, but was getting so tired of building it, I skipped that idea too.

Super job on the Tiger

I've put full interiors into four or five armor models and I don't do it anymore, not worth the effort when 90% of it disappears never to be seen again.
