You should also give us some information about the kit, manufacturer, scale, etc. I can't see much from the photo though, but at least you're building and sharing. I tend to get lazy and "forget" to take shots while my kit is in progress.

For artificial lighting for a picture, try to light the tank between the camera and the tank.

I can't see the model that well with the angle and lighting but from what I can tell looks like a nice job! 

Only nitpick is looks to me like you mounted the sand skirts which I've seen very few photos of the things in place. Seems like they were mostly either removed or ended up ripped off in action.

Another tip for your photography is to use a plain background that will not distract from your subject. A piece of posterboard or a solid color bed sheet draped over a chair will give your camera a better chance to focus on your subject. Keep it simple and let your model be the star.

Some tablets have pretty good cameras. You might try just sitting the model in front of a window or even taking the photos outside. 

I need to work on my photo skills I probably took my 50 picture my whole life. The only camera I got is on a tablet. Those to things combined not good I'm not going to post pictures anymore until I get a decent camera . Which will probably be quite a while.
