Black is a good base coat The base coat color depend on what your tring to accomplish.

Ditto  It has the added bonus of giving shadow effects.  At least it can if you are not heavy handed when applying the overcoat like I tend to do.

Dwayne or Dman or just D.  All comments are welcome on my builds.

I've used Tamiya olive drab as a base before. It's really dark and you can add a lighter OD over it.

hi I’m building the French indochina M24 Chaffee from bronco. What would be a good base coat color before applying olive drab? I was thinking black but wasn’t all to sure. Thank you!
