Figures, esp. driver figures usually have to be modified to fit and look natural. I don't have this kit but I remember a lot of figures in older kits would have flattened butts to simulate reality. A person sitting in a car seat will conform to the seat AND the seat would also depress from the weight of the person.
The floor and firewall may also be modified to accomodate the figure's leg lengths.
Kits that include figures should have multiple seat part versions. A stock, no figure, version and a version to accommodate a seated figure that is included.
Anyway, your model looks good. I like the seperate interior and exterior door handle parts. The convertable cover mechanism looks like good detail too.

Ah, well you probably want something over the decals if you don't already have it just to protect them.

Gamera Maybe you could just stuff some tissues in there to protect the interior? Since there aren't any decals to protect I'm not sure you really need a protective overcoat. Up to you of course.

tks!
yep - ill figure out something later on. now looking for something new to start. im wondering if i should seal it up with future??? the inside in flat on the sides so iim guessing ill have to tape it off. n ot sure if i want to worry about it. is there any reason i have to?
Oh that's cool! Nice work!
Pity about the driver. Could you maybe cut off his heels or sand down the knees or something like that so he'll fit down in the seat a little better?
So i think ive finally finished. Ended up not being able to fit the driver in - his knees were hitting the dash which caused the body of the vehicle to not go all the way down - so i just dropped him in the back for now. After my last little car was unable to fit the driver either, you'd think i'd learned! Oh well... I might next clear coat it to seal it up - but not yet sure. It was fun and a lesson in many things - not least of all mixing colors to spray and using the AB itself. For the 1st time i used a little retarder added to the tamiya acrylic when brusing a little and it help a lot from having the paint gook up on the brush. Any thoughts, tips or suggestions welcome. My 4th kit since getting back in and i have to say its therapeutic and enjoyable even though frustrating at times! tks again...
