My god but Tamiya makes a phenominal kit!  In the hands of a capable modeler you get an amazing build like this.

I've been eyeballing a Tamiya 1/32 Spitfire and the price tag that goes with it has kept me from adding it to my stash.. but every time someone posts a Tamiya build or review.  It's the same story.  The modeler makes a beautiful build. The kit behaves fantastic.  The quality is through the roof. The details are right on.

There's only 3 negative remarks I ever notice for Tamiya.  1 is the price tag.  But, they prove you get what you pay for. So I take that with a grain of salt.   2. Is the staples they use on the bag for the canopy sometimes can mar the canopy.  And 3 are the decals.  Everyone has given similar reports. At least on the 1/32 aircraft decals.  Brittle and thin or cracking upon appication.  And lots of people recommend aftermarket decals.

How were the decals on this build?

I don't have any experience with Tamiya's aircraft but their new armor releases are a dream to assemble but sometimes lack the detail of other brands.  The decals went down easily on this build with no silvering.

Great build, like the modulation in the OD,did you use one of their color sets

I did!  Grabbed a couple of OD sets from Hobby Lobby using their 40% off coupon.

Superb build. This is my oldest stash kit and I'd love to start it, but I have too many in-progress builds.

OOB build of Tamiya's M-26.  Build was straightforward with no issues.  Tank was painted with Vallejo acryllics.  Comments and critiques welcomeBeer
