well I'm definitely interested. It would be good if we had a solid start date. I'm probably a month (at least) away from being able to start this one, if not more, but I'd definitely love to.

Right after the Towed Gun build, I'd like to start the ZSU I just got from Dragon, so if this build is still on by then, I'll be in.

It seems the Aviation community doesn't have much of an interest in this build. Whoever is doing this still, I'm posting updates where needed. How's everyone doing?

It's odd. The Hobby Lobby in town sells the kit for $18.99 and the Hobby Lobby across the state line [30 mins away] sells it for $11.99. Needless to say When they had the 50% off sale recently i picked up the cheaper one of half off. I pick up the magazine a couple days ago and it inspired me even more. Though I cannot find any ref pics yet Rob G. did inform me that some Bull Dogs got sold to some "desert countries" [I beleive back in the late 70's early '80's]. There are a few still in dervice with a few small countries though most appear to be in reserve according to this tank book I have.

Anyway i build for fun first, accuracy second.

completely agree with you there. I'm not really a stickler for accuracy. It's definitely a concern and a bonus, but if I'm not enjoying it, then I'm not building it.
Yeah, I have the Tamiya mag with the Skybow M41. That's what got me inspired.
I saw the old Tamiya kit on Squadron mailorder for like 10 bucks, so I was just wondering...

Martian, which kit of the bulldog are you building? I've been meaning to get one, just don't know which one..

The old Tamiya kit. It's dated but i got it for cheap at hobby Lobby's 50% off sale so it was worth it to me. I like the little kit even though it has it's short comings. One thing I'm definately not is a "bolt counter".lol (But I do admit I am finding myself getting more and more "detail conscious" so I am slowly being brain washed!Wink [;)]) Anyway i build for fun first, accuracy second. If it takes away from the fun then I don't do it. As long as it looks like what it is supposed to and I am pleased with the result then it was worth the effort. Here is a link that has been helping me with mine...

Also the current issue of Tamiya Magazine International has a great article on a build of the Skybow Walker Bulldog kit [it's Out Of Production] that has great pics. I'm using that as well.

OK, can I include a Navy PBR in this build? It's having an identity crisis and can't find a home.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

Crap! i'm working on my Walker Bulldog right now. I'll simply have to get me another. I already have a couple of what I beleive to be NAM era Tamiya tanker figs laying around that I got a good deal on.Shy [8)]

Hmm, maybe. It all depends how I do for the next few weeks. I have to still finish the M1 biuld, and start the Towed Gun build, which is pretty much coinciding with this one. Sounds good though, as I wouldn't mind building my big SAM transporter...
