I have plenty of information, photos, drawings, etc. of WWII German panzer crew uniforms, but I can’t find a lot on uniforms worn by German armored car and halftrack crews. Did they have any special uniforms, or did they just wear the basic uniform of the division/unit they were assigned to? Thanks!
Tojo72I really don't know,but i'm thinking they were like jeeps or trucks,no real crews or distinct uniforms,just used by whatever unit had them.
Tojo is correct. Whether you were part of a Panzer Unit, Heer or Waffen-SS you wore the uniform of the unit you were assigned to. Sometimes vehicle markings would be different if the unit was a Pz.Grenadier, Fallschirmjager or Luftwaffe unit attached to a larger division or Army.
