Really nice work! You don't see enough soft-skins around here!
The Vietnam earth and weathering look really good!

Thanks everyone. Nice surprise with the three extra fuel cans in the kit and axle assembly. As usual a few other parts I could find no reference to in the instructions or matching up to anything in my fading memory.

Have had the great fortune to be on every side of the howitzers.
Nice looking truck. Great job on the subtle weathering. Just like I like them; used, but not abused. I have this kit too and it looks to be great.

I do like that method and i know the pigments are not cheap but they last ages even doing that method. Try doing some German armour with all those wheels

Bish Thtas a very nice looking build. It has a great finish and really nicelt weathered. Did you us the pigments in water. You have deffinetly nailed that.

Yes water and pigment for just the tires. I was freaking over how much it might cost to pigment the dirt (drywall mud and fine sand) It turns out that about 1/8 teaspoon on a saucer with water was enough. For pigmenting that you can dilute it like craxy and still get the color right.
Hello Glenn!
Good to know you've been working! And the results are very nice, too. I've got my 5 tons of fun, too, although with some adventures - judging by the box the journey from China has been rough for my kit. I don't know when I'm going to tackle my truck. I've been thinking about converting it to a dump truck, but I'm afraid AFV Club will crank something like that out before I'm done!
Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

It's really a well done mold for the most part. I just wish I would have paid more attention to the bed sides. I found a pic of some of the guys in the back of one and you can see slots for the stakes to go. I should have taken those stubs down flush. Just thrilled that they came out with the kit finally. Copletes the collection of all I was lucky enough to have been on, drove, or a part of the crew. Be interested in your project.

The last model I have been waiting for to complete the set. Got to spend the last few months skating by hauling 155 ammo to FSB's. Diesel gave that showroom shine. The tires, forget about it. I didn't look at mine close enough or I would have taken those bed stakes off down to the bed frame.
