Building Tanks and AFVs
Posted by zokissima on Thursday, April 8, 2004 8:40 AM
I bought a few books published by Kalmbach. The above is not one of them, but I am seriously considering it. It is written by Shep Paine (did I mis-spell that), who also wrote the excellent Diorama's book.
Can anyone say anything about this book, if they have it, and is it worth purchasing?
Thanks! Big Smile [:D]

If Shep Paine wrote it, it is worth reading.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

You can never have too much reference material, especially ones from a well known and respected author.

I have it, it's old but still completely relevant. Never pass up a chance for ref or how to material.

Shep, is the idol of the modeling world-from a time and age where accuracy ment building it yourself, he was "god" in a sense. I have seen the diorama book, and I want some of those others...

Shep Paine is the master. He was building masterpieces when there was no such things as aftermarket parts and Photo Etch. This is a great time to be a model builder and Shep Paine did a lot to get us here. Just my two cents worth. Mike
