There are a couple of living history / re-enactor groups here in the North-West that do WWII. They come over to the Central Oregon high desert to do their North African Campaigns. Kinda odd seeing schimmelwagons and kubelwagons cruising around these parts.

"Why do I do this? Because the money's good, the scenery changes and they let me use explosives, okay?"

Sounds awsome!

If you haven't seen it, this is worth watching,

No matter what the politics are this is an awesome collection of machinery. 2 88's as well as their transporters, German searchlights and optical rangefinders are just the tip of the collection.

The reenactment had over 300 participants as well as more than 8 tracked WWll vehilces, multiple jeeps, etc.

I see that they have The Littlefield collection there now. Which had been formerly been kept here in the northern portion of DPRC. Not exactly another hotbed of USA patriotism either...

Checked out the link you provided and it looks great. Definitely someplace I would like to visit someday. I'm just a little surprised that something like that would be allowed in Mass these days considering their anti- American bias.

I went to the American Heritage Museum in Hudson Massachusetts to see a WWll reenactment which was fantastic. They have just recently opened up their main exhibit hall with a great collection of military vehicles from WWll on. The also have a magnificent collection of cars from about 1913. Well worth going to. Bring your camera and a lot of memory cards!
