Thanks Guys, I was thinking of trying the Salt Chipping technique. I'm not sure how my Brad M2 would turn out with Kryon grey primer under olive drab.Cheers -Spencer

Most all of the tanks I was a crew member on had a red oxide primer on them, those would be M-60 family and Abrams family vehicles for the most part.

I think it depends on the manufacturer. I have seen both an oxide red and a black primer on the vehicles I have been on.

Modern Vehicle Primer?

Hi People! I was wondering what color does the modern Army use to prime their vehicles with? Would the USMC use the same or does it depend on the manufacturer of the particular vehicle? -Spencer
