Well, the #98 kit looks to be a T-55....

Good choice.  No shortage of operators and color schemes.

Combat use around the world from the 1950s thru today in one variant or another... you'd be hard pressed to find a wider longer serving tank...

an excellent choice!

Now you will need figures.  Tamiya will include at least a commander in the tank, but you need more crew and soldiers for maximum play value.

Lol!
I'd love to see them do a whole series of Cold War soviet AFVs to go with that "for maximum play value"

Right?  About time we had an explosion of quality plastic 1/48 soldiers and vehicle crews, across all eras.  1/48 armor is fresh again, so it has great potential for growth (WW I, Cold War, Gulf War, etc.).

And all this coming from a guy who does not do 1/48 armor!

I just wish that Tamiya 1/48 scale figures were actually 1/48 scale.

This is welcome news, but I'm still surprised they have not miniaturized the M113 series kits. That vehicle can go from Vietnam to Iraq with just a few sprue swaps.
