The right grey for Hesslers Tiger
Posted by Tankluver on Friday, December 27, 2019 5:16 PM

Okay guys I recently received my Takom M47 I’m going to begin building it next week. My question here is who makes the best paint to replicate Hesslers Tiger. We all know it was a grey but it seems like it would be a bit on the lighter side. I could be wrong but I feel like my modulation set for panzer grey the last light grey modulation may work for this but I’m not totally confident i this. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

It’s a hollywood paint job, so use your best guesstimate.

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

Ill probably end up doing that. I may go with a neutral naval gray and start from there.

The originals would have a whitewash over the 3 tone camo.

Eventually. There was no snow yet in the Ardennes when the offensive opened. The real Panzers rolled into battle in their basic camo schemes.

So... theoretically... you could do Hesslers M47 Konigstiger in a three tone scheme... Maybe even put on zimmerit too...

That would look interesting, an M-47 with zimmerit hmmmm
