I've only built four vehicles with indy links. (One twice, repair job talked about in another thread). Two of them I built in sections then painted and weathered before installing. One I put together and then painted on the tank and the last I painted on the sprue then put them on the tank and weathered them. Building in sections is the easiest for me to deal with. My two cents.

I cut them from the sprue and glue them into sections that will be easily manageable when putting them on the tank, usually 4 sections per side. Then I paint and weather them before adding them to the nearly complete vehicle. Final weathering of the entire vehicle with tracks on came then take place.

Armor finishing sequence

What is the proper finishing sequence for individual-link tracks on armor models? should I paint and assemble the tracks before adding them to the model, or after? I'm mainly concerned about the process of installing and painting individual-linked tracks.
