Historically I've been a car guy and only in the last couple of years have I started deviating. I found this kit a while back on clearance at Hobby Lobby and so I bought it. I took a shot at adding a wash, dot filters, and even some Tamiya weathering powders. I like the end result. Is it a perfect weathering job? Probably not. Does it look good to me? Absolutely.

(I see someone else posted about the same kit - just plow through it, it's a fun build)!

Looks good! I really like the tools and storage on the rear deck.

I see you chose the same early style large hatch turret I did for my build.

The rest of the kit has been easier since I got the suspension finished. That was the worst part.

Your build looks great! Guess I'm going to have to finish mine soon lol.

Thanks Mike! I got hung up on the photoetch. Once I got past that, it was fine! I need to add an antenna.

Looks good to me. Washes and weathering are the hardest for me as a newcomer. Good one.

Keep on modeling!

All the best,

This Sherman looks very, very good. I remember when I was a youngster and I started doing tank models from Bandai in 1/48 scale. My very first one was the King Tiger with Porsche turret. They were really good models with a lot of interior stuff, but I really didn't have ALL the tools that I have today to even come close to producing the fine piece you have here.
