Dioramas
Posted by gpat5570 on Saturday, June 6, 2020 12:13 PM

Hi folks,

just finished building a 1:35 CVR Scorpion vehicle.

I'm trying to find the correct diorama. Does anyone know a good website?

Ideally I am looking for a signle track road with road signs.

Thanks for any advice,

Garry

Are you looking for a prebuilt diorama base to set your kit on?

Or are you looking for a tutorial on how to make your own?

If the latter, I start with two things.

1. Find a photograph or several of what you have in mind. Basing dioramas on my own imagination usually ends in poor results.

2. Make a little scale model of what you have in mind, assuming it's more than  a simple terrain base. Use scrap material like cardboard. Not for color or material, just general layout.

I'm looking for a prebuilt diorama set. A standard road with signs.

It sounds like your just after a simple base, a diorama is somthing different.

Great North Roads has some very nice stuff and a couple of there bases may suit your needs. I have used them for quite a few things and the stuff is very nice to work with.

But i would really think about making your own, as it will be cheaper and your can model it just as you want it. I use Celluclay to make terrain but other people use plaster or other products.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so
