I'm thinking the base color for these tanks is close to Khaki Green. Can anyone confirm or provide a more definitive option?

Remarkable that there is no conclusive evidence, given the interest in the subject.  It’s a tricky thing too; I had read an article about how WWII OD paints can change drastically as they age and fade.

Personally I like brown, but it could be green, olive, sludge, etc.

I used Model Master brown drab on my Emhar POS Mark V.
