Takom V-2, Vidalwagen and 2 Strabokran 16t mobile cranes.

I am now combining 2 kits from Takom. For some reason it seems to make sense in joining these two!

The Hanomag SS100 has already been built so there are 2 cranes, 1 V-2 and 1 Vidalwagen. Now I have noticed that there are the tyres for the Vidalwagen missing so I have E-mailed Takom and just wait for their reply! It won't stop me building it as tyres and wheels are always usually the last on!

The cranes are quite involved to a certain degree and it may be possible to make them work and fold up as they were designed to. While I have NOT photographed one set of crane parts, what you see is doubled!

First of all, the V-2.

Like the last build, quite a simple build. This one I think I am going to do a two colour Green splinter pattern going with late war Luftwaffe paints for something different.

Next is the Vidalwagen

This will be painted in a base coat of RAL 6003.

The StraboKran

All the gaps make you wonder what has been removed!

The el cheapo WHITE string is a real miss, Takom!

Black Nylon replacement to the same widths. Cost pennies and should look much better!

The Cranes will be in RAL 6003 base coat. I have no intention of adding camo. The chain will be painted with Vallejo Steel or Magnesium. One Strabokran will be deployed and the other in travel mode. This should be an informative build with some technical ability involved. Not for the beginner this crane I think!
