New 1/72 Patton M-60?
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, April 13, 2004 7:31 PM
If you go to the Revell website revell.de and search for Patton; you will find a 72 scale model there. I have not seen it yet on any vendors websites yet. Does anyone know if this is new or is it old Esci?

I think I read somewhere that it is a new tool.

I would welcome a new M60A3 kit, but Revell reissued the Esci 1/35 M60A3 so I would think that they could do the same in 1/72. I see they list the parts count as 183, I do have an Esci 1/72 scale M60A3 and can compare the parts count.

I'll post the results later tonight.

According to my extensive non-scientific research (I counted parts on the sprues), there are 110 parts to the old Esci M60A3 (1/72) kit. Looks favorable that this may be an all new tooled kit.

That's good news, thanks RG.
