The Franklin Mint does a series of diecast metal pre-built display models, including a HMMWV. He's taken one of them and converted it into the model you see above.
His kit maintains some of the hardtop M1025 HMMWV features (armored doors, rear bumper, straps on tailgate, roof) yet tries to be a soft top variant M998 cargo carrier.

Here is my scratchbuilt , i use 1/24 Franklin Humvee, i always wanted to built M 988 version, painted in model master us gulf armor sand.
