Hobby Boss 1/35 Defender Wolf WMIK

Don't normally build armor, but I'm giving it a go for the Weekend Group Build as well as Bish's British Army Group Build. Per the rules all kits must be unstarted, here's photographic proof.

About an hour in.

I thought I had a couple of more pics, but I don't.  Taking a break because my chair at the workbench isn't exactly back friendly and I need to do some research. Can't figure out how the transfer case mounts to the frame.

A little over five hours in and the chassis is ready for paint.  My googlefu worked a miracle with regards to my wondering how the transfer case mounts. I came across the review from none other than FSM.  They couldn't figure it out either and just attached the drive shafts and then glued it in place so that's what I did.  I did check it for clearance with the floorboard and it passed.  Here's some pics of the finished chassis.

Chassis has been primered. Tow hoops have been attached. The basic bed has been completed.

The bed mocked up on the chassis.

I have one more part to paint and then the engine and tranmission will be done.

Paint has been slung. The frame is painted as is the bed.  The powerplant has been installed (took three tries to get it right) and the bed has been glued down as well.

Here she is with the machine gun cage and firewall mocked up.

I have a self imposed deadline of being done by 1415 this afternoon. I have to make a run to the lhs because I ran out of primer.  I don't know if I'll finish in time. I can save some time by not adding the weapons and the boatload of ammo cans, but I don't know if it will be enough.  I have a feeling the front end will be a nightmare.

Made some progress today on the WMIK.

The dashboard/firewall.

The dashboard/firewall installed.

Installed the few decals, but not really pic worthy.
