A few resources at this link, just not sure about the number of photos in the PDF files listed on the page. HTH.

What higher unit were they a part of? What division, corps, or army was their parent unit? That would help to steer the searching.

F is for FIRE, That burns down the whole town!

U is for URANIUM... BOMBS!

N is for NO SURVIVORS...

So, this will be oddly specific, but I'll ask anyway. I am looking for some WW2 photographs of M5A1's from the 117th reconnaissance squadron,  ideally 1st platoon company F. I know that realistically I will get nothing close to that specific,  but the closer the better. My grandfather was a tank commanderl in that unit and I'm  looking to model one for a family member.

The only things I have come upon thus far are a few out of print, no longer available titles and a few photos from the later years when they converted to the M24.

I've written to the unit itself, but with COVID and all I'm not optimistic for any timely response.  Wasn't sure if any of you had any suggestions.

I know there wasn't a heck of a lot of standard/official variation between units, but all units did tend to personalize to some degree even if it was just naming their tank. At least at some point they were with Patton and had some significant battles under them. Maybe a broader reference book that anyone is aware of?
