Christmas Challenge - AFV Club British 40mm Bofors Q.F. Mk-III Anti-Aircraft Gun
Posted by Sergeant on Thursday, January 7, 2021 10:45 PM

For my Christmas Challenge I chose the AFV Club #AF35187 British 40mm Mk-III Bofors Anti-Aircraft gun (late type). As you can see below the carriage and gun are assembled, so it won't be long, and this well know World War II artillery piece will be ready for primer and paint.

I am also working on an AEC Matador Artillery Tractor to go with the Bofors gun.

I put a coat of primer on the Bofors gun today. Tomorrow I will mask off the wheels in preparation for the finish coat of British S.C.C. 15 dark green.

GreySnake

Looking great.

Thank you Rob, John and G.S. I am done with the Bofors gun for now. Later I will add some weathering and display it with the Matador.

The link below is a pretty good video explanation of the Bofors operation:

Magnificent looking model. Might have to invest in one of those.
