So, I'm guessing, Doctrine was to drive, slew the tube 180º and serve the thing from the lockers in the former turret ring?

Seems easier than ring the track up, 180º the track in place, and serve the tube through the driver's hatch.

I did the free-hand camo, and then redid it... actually not too bad I must say. Ammo paints as called out in the kit (not 100% on the sand yellow but with some weathering should tone down) thinned with Ammo transparator. Some overspray but, again with weathering, should tone down....

Tanker-Builder

Hmmmm;

I bet you definitely wanna protect yer ears when that baby goes " Boom"!  Nice job so far. That's one nice thing about Armor, Ya kin put it almost all together before painting anything. By the time it's weathered whose gonna notice a tiny missed spot anyway?

Very much so! I love being able to assemble the darn thing and then paint. Not so much masking either.

And I hope the driver gets the heck out of his position under the gun breech before you fire that monster!!!

Great job, looking forward to getting back and painting her!!! Yes

Oh that looks great!

I dunno about the colour, maybe a little sand to dull down the orange with an earth tone? Grey should work too.

Gamera

Oh cool! Hope you've got the details painted by now! Yes

your wish is my command (well almost)... some interior detail painting... need to scuff it all up a touch then can join top & bottom.... not 100% with the sand colour, need to check I have the right one when it comes to the exterior - could be with pale grey to desaturate that it looks ok - just looks too "orange" at the moment...

Interior primer on, now it is starting to come together. Front part will be white, rear will be same as external (sand grey)

Glad to hear you're on the way to recovery.

build almost complete, need to add rear mudguards, weld beading round the opening and then do the tracks bit I think I need to paint the interior first. May be able to get paint time this weekend but need to prime the Pz III first struggled with the rear fuel tanks so one on (damaged), one showing a broken bracket.... and some damage to front fenders

gun finished (Well it was until I broke the piston that controls the elevation while trying to take photos... it only sits on a small pin and the other end in a small hole with a PE strapĀ  - will repair but probably going to be fixed (which is OK as wanted it in the travel lock once painted)). Need to add tie down lops to the "turret" ring and then add home made weld beads around it, make the tracks (link & length) and then look at the fuel drums - might just do the mountings or perhaps one off one on (and battered)

Gamera

OUCH! That fall sounds nasty- I hope you're healing okay now.

Still, that's impressive progress. Such a cool looking vehicle!

thanks - still some pain but nowhere near as much when first done... probably 3-6 weeks to fully fit (if I ever was)....

managing some build time but not 100% as much as I want.... leaving smaller PE for now so on to the gun. Quite a few small bits but goes together well...

and then finally just resting it all together - starting to look the part

thanks... limited modelling time (would;ve been any way due to the garden fence needing painting) as I managed to fall ~6ft off a ladder and crack my ribs (rear) off a plant pot. Think there is at least one cracked but the pain has gone down... so today managed to crack on with the upper hull... going together well and I am really glad I took time to d a rudimentary interior. Not sure when I will get chance to paint it up (need to paint other models first)

Amazing work on the interior, I’m envious how easily you can scratch build.

calling the interior done with the final 4 crew seats... not brilliant and will likely fall out when painted but they add a little to the space....
