Armor Master: Thanks! The pattern was air brushed using silly putty to lay out the pattern. Then weathered with pastels.

Andytee: no you weren't over critical. I had just picked up a new cam and software so I posted before getting the resize function down..

Hey tnker

great pics!

Coupla suggestions with the 'tech' side of the pics that'll help more ppl see 'em quicker! Most folks still have their monitors set at 800 x 600, so a pic that size will be full screen on 'most' monitors. Most browsers will resize the pic anyway to suit the window it opens in. Also about 99% of pics on the net are at a resolution of 72 dpi. By putting your pics up 1280 pixels wide with a resolution of 200 dpi the files are more than 5 times as big as they need to be - which means 5 times as long to download for no real gain at the receiving end!

Whatever photo software you are using will have a 'resize' function which will look after both size and resolution with a couple of mouse clicks, probably in the 'edit' menu.

Reading back, this post seems maybe a bit critical - I hope it doesn't come across that way, I'm just trying to help for more people to see your terrific model! I'd be happy to 'walk you thru' it if you want to drop me an email Smile [:)]

Cheers, Andy!

Still not getting 'em, It cranked up to almost .5 MB but no image on either. I'm using a Mac so that might be the problem.
Any questions on lighting these buggers, email or post in Armor and I'll be glad to help.

Got the third, looks great!
I think the lighting is the reason for the fuzziness, it looks great to have soft lighting but it causes the depth of field to shorten. If you can; try to manually focus when shooting in lowlight, your eye will compensate in ways your camera can't. Low light really sets a mood but is tricky to pull off without losing a lot of detail. That what's great about digital, you can shoot test after test until you get what you want.

New cam so bear with me. The kit is Tamiya pzIVJ, that I did last year. I still have to add a crew and some stuff to breath some life into the tank.
