This Tiger is during the battle of Leinngrad.A lot of rubble  and some snow with rust and worn paint. All weathering is done with some enimals but mostly of watercolor paints.Rubble and snow[or what left of it]done with crushed clauk and crushed pastles.

Judging by the layout of the ammunition bins, I'm guessing that this is the Academy kit?

Bit tricky to see the kit properly from those photo's, but loks nice from what i can see.

I'm guessing you mean Lenningrad rather than Stalingrad.

If you click on the picture you can see the entire photo. dumb luck discovering that.

I agree with Bish and Tojo72. The first TIGER Is were deployed outside of Leningrad and, in JAN43, one was mired in a peat bog and captured by the Soviets. It took 5 T-60s to unstick it. Four other TIGERs were lost in that action. I do not believe there were any TIGERs in the south before Kursk.

1. Yes we amateur historians can be as picky as rivet counters.

2. I have some experience sticking and unsticking tanks.

It does look nice and urban

I do believe that there was one company of Tigers with each of Leibstandarte, Das Reich, and Totenkopf at Kharkov during the German counter offensive there after Stalingrad in early 1943.

Thanks for the tip on the pics wayne.

The 503rd was deployed to the South but arrived to late for Op Winter Storm. It did take part in the fighting around Rostov on Don.

You might try taking photos in front of a white poster board or hang up a sheet.

Nice work on the Tiger, the weathering and mud looks good!
