Looks pretty nice.  I doesn't have to be sand.  They are also in NATO camo.

You are not incorrect in overall green either.  They have been seen in Europe recently on Operation Atlantic Resolve rotations in overall green.  It is a temporary paint used to cover sand vehicles in a more Europe-friendly camo quickly.

As to hipshoots, yes they are still practiced.  They are much easier with the Paladin though since each gun has GPS onboard and knows exactly where it is at any given time.  Simply receive the mission digitally, stop, load, hit the lay button and the gun slews into firing position (both deflection and quadrant), and fire.

Well I heard that my old unit (1/5) went from the 105 they used when I was with to the Paladin. I wonder if they even practice hip shots these days. The units first CO, Alexander Hamilton has to be spinning in his grave.Stick out tongue
