Help, I need something to hold up my skirt!
Posted by okieboy on Sunday, April 18, 2004 8:34 PM
Okay, now that I have your attention, let me clarify. I'm trying to put schurzen (side skirts) on my 1/15 scale Sturmgeschutz IV. I've already got some .05 metal sheets for the schurzen, but I'm still trying to find something for the struts to hold them. I'd like to use metal, since that will let me bend it, but I'm finding it difficult to find metal strips the right width for the scale. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

Most local hobby stores have a wide selection of brass or copper tubes and strips. I'm not sure what size you'd need, but I bet there's something of that sort will work.

Agree 100% with Warren ..... find a shop that specializes in trains and R/C equipment. They''ll probably have a selection of brass from K&S or another company.
