Ok. Here we are over 4 months since I asked about this kit. Got mine on April 29 and I'm very happy with it so far.
If someone else has posted about this, I apologize as I haven't seen anything on it.
The kit comes with 6 large spruces and one small one for the .50cal. There are 35 steps in the instructions, not counting the one for the figure and ammo boxes. I think Tamiya has stepped up its game what with the competition from Asuka, Meng, Dragon and others. The .50 cal has really improved over earlier version in their kits. It not up to Asuka standards yet, but it's close. Previous Tamiya kits had overly thick headlight guards that needed to be thinned, but these look just right. Assembly so far has been problem free (just doing the lower hull and suspension right now), but the tracks look like they might be a little fiddily given that there are solid sections for the upper and lower runs, but they need to be connected with separate links. Yikes!
