M113 progress shot
Posted by lizardqing on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 12:54 AM
This is the Academy M113 A1 kit that I am working on right in the middle of a few other things. After going through many ref pics trying to figure out what color to go with on the interior I finally came across some color pics. So I did the very technical color comparison of holding the bottle of paint up to the monitor and seeing if they looked the same. After much very in depth thought process, I came to the conclusion that they were close enough. Since I figured that so much scientific research went into verifying that it was in fact a proper shade I went to spraying. Enough rambling, I know you only came in to see the pic...

and to back up my scientific research here is the pic of the actual one

Good man.. Now thats precision engineering at its best. Looks the right colour to me. Basically, if you're happy with it, then that should settle it, eh?

Chris,
The color looks right to me! Where is the photo from? I thought I was reading the Warning sign wrong until I realized the vehicle wasn't in the US!

QUOTE: Even has a few coke bottles

Really?? I think that's why I like academy so much. The few kits from them that I've built have come with an unbelievable amount of extras.
