Thanks guys!!!

The tree is one of those cheap ones that come out around Christmas for the little village set-ups. It had really awful looking snow already glued all over it and I wasn't sure how to get it off without damaging the tree. So I coated it with a thick coat of spray adhesive and poured the snow material all over it. Personally I think it really improved the look!

The footprints were an experiment. I'd never done thick snow before so thought I'd give it a try. Same as the tracks for the tank- just laid a slab of styrofoam on the base and then dropped a little plastic cement where I wanted the footprints. It dissolved the stryrofoam creating perfect little holes. Then sprinkled the whole thing with snow.

The yellow snow I had to put in there- I think everyone here knows my warped sense of humour by now....

Must have missed this one.  I like it.  Man that's a little tank!  Nice work, figures add so much

And I like the footprints in the snow and the pool of yellow snow by the tree Wink

Thanks,

John

Nicely done! Even the tree looks realistic.

Thanks Brandon!!!

It was about 95F/35C back when I put the 'snow' down on the base- I needed some cold weather attitude!

Looks like a real cold Soviet winter. Very nice. I like it.

Finished this about six months ago, not totally crazy about it but I don't feel like redoing it so here she is.

Kit by Hobbyboss, great little kit- builds up really well. Only real issue I had was the PE parts for the air intakes on the engine deck are about a cm too short- so I ended up tossing a camo net over the rear of the deck to cover up the gaps.

Figures turned out so-so. The tank only had a crew of four but I had five figures so I just threw the last one in- I'm assuming he walked over from another nearby vehicle.

My main drive here was to experiment with a lot of snow. I added a slab of styrofoam to the base and then added a little liquid cement to it to melt it to make tracks for the tank and the figures. I then coated everything down with a heavy coat of Mod Podge glue and sprinkled a heavy coat of Green Stuff snow over it.

Somehow I missed all the 'snow' all over the base. Guess I need to clean that up...
