Nice TG. Approve [^] Yes the Camo paint work is excellent. Very nice job. Did you use a wash to help bring out the finer details of the kit?

Just a tip in regard decals. If you use a gloss finish, say Future, on the area where the decals go, then place your decals and when dry paint over with a flat base, say Future and Tamiya Flat Base 50/50 mix, it helps hide the silvering of the backing paper. Matt paint has a rough surface like a microscopic moon face, and this traps air which causes the silvering effect. Gloss finish has a smoother texture and traps little air.

The top coat also kind of flows over the decal and surrounding paint making a sort of ramp up to the area around the decal so that you don't get such a sharp edge definition. The sharp edge is a trap for pastel chalk which then accentuates the edge.

Looks like you might need a bit of rain over there, judging by the cracks in your ground! Or are you cultivating that patch of ground for your pics?

Nice camo , its refreshing to see some old school woodland camo instead of the current desert stuff. A great job all in all , got MRE boxes on mine as well , gotta love MRE, ever eat one ? They don't call it the iraqkins diet for nothing ! Dead [xx(] JK Big Smile [:D]

Nice work! Like the paint job!

A stupid question from a modern armour dunce.......what are the white panels at the front of the turret?

They are part of the CIP's (combat identification panels), if I am not mistaken. And thank you all this was a fun and learning build.

Petbat about the decals that is the only one that gave me trouble dont know why I used MM high gloos finish for cars talk about shiny, they are the decals that come with the kit and they are not too good as usual.

I used to be a gourmet with MREs, ate so many of them, I could recite the entire contents of the meal if you just told me which menu number it was! I guess it just goes to show that you'll eat anything if you're hungry enough...
A day in the Corps is like a day on the farm; every meal is a banquet, every paycheck a fortune, every formation a parade... The Marine Corps is a department of the Navy? Yeah...The Men's Department.
