RFM Panther with cutaway Hull 1/35
Posted by snapdragonxxx on Sunday, February 26, 2023 9:13 AM

Well, Folks, I am back after a sort of hiatus. I was very busy building for HK Models for display at Telford, which was a sucess.

Unfortunatly, on the train journey home, a complete ********** started to throw my storage and travel containers around as he wanted that space to put an overnight bag. Despite careful packing none of the big display items survived intact and decent repairs are not an option as they will be clearly visible and undercarriage is not fixable in any way. In other words, they are complete wrecks so I will be building new ones during this year.

I am making moves to have more secure travel boxes made out of wood where the aircraft parts can be fixed in place to avoid damage.

In the meantime here is my newly finished RFM 1/35 Panther with cutaway parts.

Aber barrel and R-Model double pin metal tracks replace the kit stuff and it is painted and built as a March 1945 Panther. RAL 6003 is the base colour as per paint orders. There are no exterior equipment mounted, although I reserve the right to add those at a later date.

Comments and questions more than welcome.

People can be so self centered and inconsiderate anymore. I hate being out in public for any reason for any length of time. Sorry to hear about the damage, what a butthead.

I have the Panther full interior RFM and the Tiger I full interior by someone else. I was planning to do cutaways of both. Nice to see you did this and it looks awesome. Great work as usual.

That's beautiful work!!!

So sorry to hear about the incident, yeah it's a wonder I'm not in jail for strangling someone at this point so I know what you went though...
