Thanks ArmorMaster, but I already knew this site.
Its OK but when you have the books by Thomas L. Jentz there is nothing new there.

Is there a site like this on the Tiger II ????

Well, this is the best I could find. It won't have detailed instructions and drawings like the other link, but it's a start. Hope it helps. http://www.worldwar2aces.com/

Thanks scorn and thanks everyone for the comments!!!Cool [8D]

Here's an idea for the treads on you next one. Try using some layered tape with like tooth pick or cut popcicle sticks.

Yeah, I think the treads look a little cheesy too. It's all 2D and flat, so I'll have to try doing that sometime. Thanks!Big Smile [:D]

Have you also done some interior detail in cardboard.

No, this is my first time using cardboard to scratchbuild anything. I decided to use cardboard because I had no sheet styrene left, and I wanted to try to scratchbuild something out of cardboard like my Grandfather did. I always use sheet styrene to scratchbuild the interiors if I want to do the interior. Thanks!Big Smile [:D]

very nice for cardboard have you worked out how much this kit will retail for????Wink [;)]

Thanks, but I think someone's going to want to stick with Revell's or Hasegawa's 1/72 Tiger. Intresting Idea though, Thanks!Big Smile [:D]

Did you have plans or is that off the cuff ?

Well, sort of. Is anybody wondering why it's a 1/70 tiger? Thats because I took one of my built Tamiya tigers in 1/35 and I measured the lengths of whatever I needed and divided it by two. So if a measurement was 4 centimeters on the Tamiya Tiger, then on the scratchbuilt tiger it would be 2 centimeters. I also went to this site for a little help too-REALLY cool site!Cool [8D] http://tiger1.info/topicIndexEN.html

Scratchbuilt Tiger 1 PICS!!!!
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, April 24, 2004 2:22 PM
Hey everybody. I'm almost done with my scratchbuilt Tiger 1. It is in 1/70 scale and it was made of the thin cardboard from a DML infantry kit box. Now I know it still needs Bosche headlights and S-mine launchers with some equipment on it, but I'm getting to it. It's my first scratchbuilt model (although I've done plenty or scratchbuilding of interiors of tanks) and it's the first time I used cardboard to make a model. The muzzle break isn't the best and the treads are made of painted paper, but I just wanted to see how thrifty and creative I could be. The camo pattern was done freehand with my iwata hp-csBig Smile [:D] and ALL 44 tiger wheels were put on! Thanks for looking.Cool [8D] Comments are very welcomed and appriated.Cool [8D]

-Sorry if the pics are kinda bigBlush [:I]
