Heh heh!

Heavy junk. It would cost a fortune to haul out of there, including all the bribes to the local militias at the checkpoints (this is in Russia, no?). And it's missing at least its treads, probably more, and I wonder how easy it is to find spare Panther treads these days.

Anyway, WOW. It's a Late A, right? Is that some of the original paint at the rear of the left hull? [:0]

What's that thing in the second picture? Can't make it out, and I am blocked to the website here at work.

No Ryan, you don't want him to know what it is. It's junk... remember tell him it's junk... let him think it's junk.... buy it for junk prices as scrap. Never let him know you know it's more than just junk!! LOL.

I knew a guy who got a Sherman that way... $2500. It's junk... just junk.... junk. junk. junk.

So, shall we go find this JUNK yard!? Sound like a field trip to me!

Yeah, I wish! I can't believe that the junkyard owner just lets it sit out there! It's obvious to see that it's worth something, IT"S A TANK! He/she should do a little research and see what tank it is, then he'd really get it inside after he finds out what it is! That would be awsome to find some important history just lying in your local Europian junkyard! Somebody over there should do something to get it out of the elements!

Look at this panther!!! If that was in my local junkyard, I would buy it for as cheap as possible (convince the junkyard owners it's a not-well known type of car model!Tongue [:P]) and get that thing to a museum! Restore it (try to) to running condition!

theres a big write up on the stug with more photos on the link
it was one of many on a container ship that was sunk

the one in a scrap yard looks like a Stug 3, the Stuh has a fatter shorter barrel
