Hello. I'm in the beginning stages of building Tamiya's M113 ACAV and have a question regarding interior color. Tamiya says it's predominantly white but almost every color photo I've seen it is a blue-green somewhat similar to the cockpits of Soviet jets. Which would be correct for a 113 built to represent a Vietnam-era machine? If the blue-green is correct, are their any bottled paints available in that hue?

Memory serves here. I don't know if this is significant or not. Our M113-A, converted to a command and assault vehicle was kind of a putrid almost light what I call "Puppy Vomit Green!
Couldn't have come up with that color even if I was sick!
"Sea foam green" I think best describes the color.

The ACAV, from potentially faulty memory, gets fielded in later 1968.
Which is near to when US Army started using "Seafoam Green" as an interior color.
Even back when white/ivory was used as an interior color, it was not used on hatches or doors where it would "show" when those were opened.
A number of model paint lines have FS 34151 listed as Interior Green (similar to Tamiya XF-71)--but that's not nearly Blue enough. Mr Color 391, Soviet aircraft interior is far too blue for my taste.
Finding a good FS24533 is a bit of a task.
AK Real Colors makes the interior Sea Foam Green in their paint line

I just pulled "sea foam green" from the vintage palette of my dim, distant past, when appliances and furniture were offered in off white, canary yellow, burnt orange, and sea foam green. Or was it avocado?

Krylon makes a Pistacio spray paint that is an exact match for Sea Foam Green. We used them for touchup on vehicle interiors when I was in the Army.

My cousin who served in VN always called it "baby sick" green. Same difference, I guess!
