The early T-34s did not have the external extra fuel tanks. The hexagonal turret introduced the box type on the rear hull around early 1943. Later in 1943 the cylindrical types on the rear hull sides were introduced.

Just about to start this kit from Dragon and I noticed that there is no external gas tanks on the picture. I looked into the sprues and I did not see any in the box or on the instructions. This tank will be modeld in the winter cameo.
From what I understand they had squarish type external gas tanks. Is this correct or did some go into battle without the external tanks?
