If it's your first tank,try a regular closed tank,less decisions and detailing,by the way,did you come up with any stowage options as per our suggestions.

Look at this site for some great reference photos, many taken from the original Tech Manual. Those show a mostly OD interior for the turret and hull below.

I did purchase some proper scale stowage... I would like to get access to a  book describing tank parts and interior equipment

Well, the best I can tell, the turret interior is olive drab and the hull interior is white on a Hellcat.

It's my first tank however not my first detailed model. I have built highly detailed model wood ships with very fine detail as a former ebgineer I like the detail stuff
