M5A1 Stuart Light Tank | Tamiya 1:35

Finished this one the other day. I was going to add some mud and other effects but I decided to leave it as-is.

Howdy!

I'd say it turned out very nice. I like the OD a lot. Looking at the close-up photos I'd say you might want to consider switching out plastic grabhandles for ones made out of wire - this way your builds might look even better!

Thanks for sharing and good luck with your next builds, have a nice day!

That's a great looking Stuart tank. The weathering is spot on and if you want to add mud, I suggest put it on a base. As for the wire grab handles, all you need is wire and small pliers to bend them the exact length.

There are many type of hand rail folding devices, some are fairly inexpensive like this one for $12.50. Others vary.

This one's around $30

Nice job!  I LOVE Tamiya's figure firing the .30 Cal - such a massively cool pose.  And to think they did that kit over 40 years ago.  I also think this version of the Stuart is the only really cool looking version.  The turret looks so much better than the older riveted boxes.
