You really, really shouldn't buy it!

I mean, what, with it probably being one of the best kits Academy has produced as well as being possibly the best Tiger I available, owning this kit would probably cause way too much pleasure for one person to take! Yeah, that's it. Definitely don't buy it! But if you do...send it to me! Big Smile [:D]

Could you buy me one too? It was my birthday 2 weeks ago. Its okay, you didn't know, so the kit will make up for it.

What does A$70 translate to in American Greenbacks?

I think Oscar Wilde said something about the best way of dealing with temptation is to yield to it. Works for me.

50$ American is a little less than retail here. You can find them cheaper here, but I don't know what the situation is down under...
But it's a great kitWink [;)]

He missed my birthday too! Ingrate! After all I've done for him. I put him in the FSM comedy Hall of Fame.
I will consider the kit an apology, perhaps.
If he sends it quickly.

You guys are absolutely no help at all.

My girlfriend is out of town, too.

And the box is sooooo heavy......

I have to drive past there for work tomorrow....

What will happen tomorrow?

Ausf and Michael: terribly sorry about your birthdays. Next year guys, I promise.
By the way Ausf, I don't know about the comedy hall of fame, I think they almost kicked me off the forum! Perhaps they Otto have.

ok, ok, i will be the voice of reason. the kit is too expensive, your girl will get angry, it will cause you hours of headaches with the putting together/the painting/the decalling, not to mention the health hazzard of the fumes. and for what? just to put it on your shelf or in your case.

hmmm..................

well now i have been thinking...................................tiger I..............................................under $50US.........................................wonder what my wife is going to say when i get it.

NOW LOOK WHAT YOU DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

u r not gonna get a lot of help around here on this one, phroosh !
it's not as if resisting temptation is a strong point with most of us,
or those shelves & closets would b bare instead of filled 2 the
bursting point w/ unbuilt kits !
even i have this kit.... and i'm basically a 1/72 builder !
(looking forward 2 some long winter nites w/ the big kitty)
seriously tho', here's my My 2 cents [2c] :
carpe diem ! (that's latin for seize the day)
if it's on sale & if u can afford it, buy it now, because sooner or l8r
u r gonna want one....

You don’t want the Tiger
I’ve got the Tiger 1 mid with full interior from academy and its been so much trouble, the box is too big and full of parts, the price of mine was £26 pounds and it was a nightmare getting it out of the car and past the GF without her seeing it
you don’t want it because if you buy it you will then want academy’s M10 Duckbill late with full interior and a engine and then you will get the M36 Jackson
Don’t go down that road the Tigers too good to buy

It’ll be gone now anyway

Ooh! Ooh! I know! Get it now while herself is away and chuck the box away.. Stick the contents in your spares box, in other boxes with other kits.. Camouflage it..

March 21st for me. Cool.
Micheal, since you're in Europe, me the States and Matt in Australia, if he fails to fulfill his obligation, won't it be an international incident? He'll have to answer to The Hague, correct?

Okay, some of the above comments have got me curious...

How many of your wives, girlfriends, parents, whatever, really know what you have in your stores? If you left a newly bought kit sitting right on top of your pile, how many would notice it and notice it was a new kit? My wife never (hardly) goes in my hobby room. When she does, she wouldn't know what I've had for a matter of minutes or years. Half the time, she doesn't even remember what she's given me for birthdays, Christmas, etc.
