Very nice. I like the mud on the tracks, it's done very well.
Just out of curiosity, what did you use to paint the vehicle? Which brand and colour?

Looks real nice, the mud and scratches are sweet.
One thing to point out for future builds, This old Tamiya kit is a mix between a 251/1 and 251/8!
According to the New Vangaurd book "Sdzfz 251 half-track 1939 - 1945" that water tank above the transmission shouldn't be there, it was only in the 251/8 ambulance. I really wish tamiya would revisit some of the old kits and check for things like this. They could add a sprue for an alternate interior and have a kit that would make 2 versions

Looks great. Nice job on adding the details that the kit was definatly missing.

Thanks guys. i used Tamiya acrylics German gray, and a pencil to weather.
I wish the kit had had more interior detail, but it was fun to scratchbuild.

Nice job on this kit John. You did a great job of weathering the outside.
On the interior, a wash of umber or black and then a dry brushing of a light grey with some added detail dry brushing of a metal on that diamond plate floor will give it some depth. Your seats are factory new. Some weathering there via a wash and dry brushing with some wear patterns would look good too. If you have guys bailing out over the side, those seats are going to get a little worn.

Like the mud on the wheels too. Nice use of space and getting the most out of that base as well. Should be an awesome diorama when its done.

Look forward to seeing it progress.
