Questions for the M1A1 experts
Posted by Bwog on Friday, May 14, 2004 5:23 PM
1.) I took a look at Italeri's web sight and they offer a M1A2. What would i have to do to mack an A2 version into a US Army M1A1 variant?

2.) What is the deal with 1/35 Italeri's M1? I've heard for several months that Italeri's Abrhams is the best available, yet i've not seen a single one of these in a hobby shop.

I'd appreciate any info.

Why not just buy the Tamiya M1A1. A great kit in itself.

Check out this site for a full side-by-side comparison of the different M1 Abrams kits out there. http://vodnik2.republika.pl/pages/m1-comparison/m1comp1.htm
All have there good and bad points, some are better than others.

Too much work with the TC cupola. The new Tamiya M1A2 can be built into a US Army M1A2, US Army M1A1 or USMC M1A1.

Recommend the Tamiya kit. You have multiple options for the build.
